CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVE

Build an analytical dashboard in Power BI from public Spotify Charts data, integrating songs, artists, albums, dates and markets to understand how music presence is distributed across different charts.

The project aims to analyze which songs concentrate the highest stream volume, which artists sustain chart presence, how leadership changes over time and which markets explain the greatest activity within the dataset.

DATA AND DIAGNOSIS

  • Use public Spotify Charts data as the main source to analyze daily song rankings, daily artist rankings and weekly album rankings.
  • Prepare a data model with fact tables, dimensions and relationships oriented to Power BI analysis, separating songs, artists, albums, countries, dates and visual support information.
  • Build indicators to measure total streams, chart appearances, best positions, Top 10 entries, market presence, concentration of leading songs and temporal evolution of rankings.
  • Explore music consumption patterns through interactive visuals and filters by period, country, market group, artist and song.

DELIVERY AND LEARNING

The delivery connects data preparation, relational modeling and Power BI visualization to build a clear reading of Spotify music rankings.

The expected result is a portfolio-oriented interactive dashboard with a dark aesthetic, executive readability and charts focused on detecting concentration, leadership, territorial presence and chart evolution.
