Geospatial Analysis of Taxi Trips
Analysis of Chicago taxi trips focused on geographic location, movements between points, dominant zones and routes.
CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVE
Understand how reported taxi trips are territorially distributed and which zones concentrate the most urban movement.
DATA AND DIAGNOSIS
- Community areas and coordinates are used as territorial analysis axes.
- Variables and visuals are built to observe pickup zones, dropoff zones and main flows.
- A geospatial reading is used to complement the operational view of the Chicago Taxi Trips project.
DELIVERY AND LEARNING
The delivery turns trips into a spatial reading, making it possible to interpret demand, concentration and mobility from a territorial perspective.
